Maldives Meteorological Service (Met Office) has announced adverse and rainy weather conditions for the next five days.
The Met Office reported that adverse weather conditions are expected to affect multiple regions of the Maldives, noting that the central and southern atolls are likely to experience heavy rainfall. It also urged all individuals to remain cautious of the weather conditions as strong winds and rough seas are anticipated.
While the Maldives has been experiencing adverse weathers in various periods, the current weather patterns are attributable to the southwest monsoon.
