In a social media post, President Dr. Muizzu praised teachers, calling them a guiding light in the lives of many. He likened them to candles that illuminate themselves to brighten the path for others, ensuring that everyone can progress forward in the light they provide.
International Teachers' Day, observed annually on October 5, highlights this year's theme: "Valuing Teachers' Voices: Towards a New Social Contract for Education." The theme emphasises the importance of including teachers in education policy discussions and amplifying their voices.
