A water park is set to be developed in Kamadhoo, Baa Atoll, with the Island Council now inviting tenders for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) related to the project.
According to the President of the Kamadhoo Island Council, Hassan Zareer, the water park will be located on the island's beach, which has seen significant growth in local tourism. Zareer envisions the beach as a delightful destination for visitors.
The planned water park will feature slides and various water sports. Visitors to the island will also have the option to rent rooms during the day. This development is part of the project's second phase.
Zareer noted that a contractor has already been selected to supply the necessary equipment for the water park, which is expected to arrive within 40 days. Funding for the project has been secured through generous donations from private contributors.
