Mohamed Dawood promoted to Assistant Police Commissioner position

Chief Superintendent of Police Mohamed Dawood has been promoted to the Assistant Commissioner of Police. The promotion was handed over by the Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan.

Dawood, former Chief Superintendent, had also served as the Head of Road Police, Detective Investigation Officer as well as the Deputy Head of the Drug Enforcement Department (DED). He currently serves as the Head of the Police Station situated in Hulhumale'.

Assistant Commissioner of Police is the highest rank in which police officers of the Maldives Police Service can be promoted to, administratively. Individuals are appointed to the positions of the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Police by the president.
