The President’s Office has opened application process for the membership of the Elections Commission of the Maldives. his announcement comes as the term of the current President of the ECM, Fuwad Thaufeeq, is set to expire in November, creating a vacancy on the commission.
The application window for the position is open until 1200hrs, September 23. Applications will be accepted between 0830hrs to 1200hrs during official working days. Application forms are available at the reception of the President's Office and can be downloaded from the President's Office website.
Following the submission of a nomination by the President to Parliament, and subsequent approval, the appointed member will join the Commission. The Commission will be chaired by a member elected by the majority vote of its five members.
