The book fair organized by the Maldives National University (MNU) has opened. The fair was opened by the state minister for Higher Education, Labor and Skills Development Abdullah Nazeer.
The MNU book fair will be held from September 12 to 14, at the main campus of the university. As such, the fair will be open from 1600hrs to 1800hrs and from 2000hrs to 2200hrs.
Speaking about the book fair, Assistant Director of MNU Aimnath Shahi said the aim of the book fair is to provide a market for Maldivian writers. Noting that this is the fourth edition of the fair, Shahi stated that this year’s fair includes 28 stalls.
Shahi noted that books of different genres and books for all ages will be available from the fair. MNU held its first book fair in 2020.
