Maldives to collaborate with Kazakhstan in field of technology

Maldives and Kazakhstan have entered an agreement pertaining to the collaboration of the two nations, in the field of technology. The agreement was signed during the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Digital Inclusion and Transformation, held in Kazakhstan. It was signed by the Minister of State for Homeland Security and Technology Dr. Mohamed Kinaanath and Kazakhstan's Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry Zhaslan Madiyev.

Under the agreement, the Maldives and Kazakhstan will offer mutual support and assistance in addressing the technological challenges faced by both nations. Additionally, the two countries will collaborate on developing skilled professionals, capable of doing technical works within the field.

During the conference held from September 3–5, State Minister Dr. Kinaanath provided insight on the technological sector of the Maldives. He also represented the Maldives in various activities held within the conference as well.
