BCC opens kiosks for rent in Thoddoo Farmers’ Market

Business Center Corporation (BCC) has opened kiosks for rent in Thoddoo Farmers’ Market. The corporation opened applications for the kiosks with the deadline set at 1600hrs on August 18.

BCC opened the kiosks for rent with the initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. As such, the corporation will be renting 10 kiosks from the market for a period of two years. The kiosks will only be rented to the citizens of Thoddoo, over the age of 18. The rental price is set at USD 228 per month.

BCC states that the aim of establishing a farmers’ market in Thoddoo is to provide local farmers with a platform to grow their businesses. Thoddoo is famous for its agricultural products, mainly watermelon and chili. Majority of the island’s land is also used for agricultural purposes.
