MNDF states missing vessel still not found

The Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) has revealed that the vessel missing with four individuals on board has still not been found. The MNDF stated that efforts are currently underway to locate the vessel named "AAA-37," which initially departed from Thilafushi in Kaafu Atoll, headed for Medhufushi Island Resort.

Moreover, MNDF Coast Guard Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC) received notification at 1720 hours that the vessel, which began its journey at 0600 hours on Friday, was missing.

The MNDF Coast Guard is pro-actively engaging in search operations to locate the missing vessel. Notably, three Bangladeshi nationals and one Maldivian were on board the vessel.

Furthermore, a large area of the eastern part of Raimandu in Meemu Atoll, covering 4,519 square nautical miles, has been searched by sea and air up to yesterday.

The MNDF has urged anyone with information about the vessel to call the MNDF Coast Guard toll-free number 191.
