Islamic Minister meets Saudi counterpart

Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has met with with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud. The meeting was held on the sidelines of 15th session of the Islamic Summit Conference held at Banjul, Republic of Gambia.

The OIC Summit, scheduled from May 4 to 5, served as a platform for Minister Shaheem to represent President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and deliver a speech, emphasising the theme "Enhancing Unity and Solidarity through Dialogue for Sustainable Development."

The summit, convened every three years, convenes senior executives from Islamic nations to collectively address challenges and foster unity, solidarity, and sustainable development within the Islamic world.

Additionally, the summit contributes to collective efforts aimed at policy formulation and guidance, particularly in addressing the pressing issues faced by Islamic countries globally.
