Ibrahim Anwar appointed as CEO of Institute of Chartered Accountants

Ibrahim Anwar has appointed the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives.

Prior to this appointment, Anwar served as the Managing Director of Island Beverages Maldives Private Limited and held a directorial position at Male' Water and Sewerage Company Private Limited (MWSC). Notably, he contributed his expertise as the Financial Controller at Islanders Group and chaired the Audit and Remuneration Committee at MWSC.

Anwar's educational background includes a degree in accounting from the International Islamic University of Malaysia and a Masters in Accounting from Monash University, Australia.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives, established under the Chartered Accountants Act on September 8, 2020, is dedicated to fostering and upholding the standards of the accountancy profession in alignment with global norms and regulations.
