"Aviation in the Maldives", a book written regarding the history of the aviation sector of the Maldives, has been published. The book was written by Ahmed Mohamed, a committed employee who served in the aviation industry for 19 years. The book was officially launched at a special ceremony held at Meerumaa.
The book encompasses of 12 chapters and significant information on the foundation of Velana International Airport (VIA) following the World War II and the history of the aviation industry of the Maldives. The author revealed that the book was compiled within a timeframe of three years. While both, the hard covers and the soft covers of the book are available in the market, books with hard covers are sold for USD 12.8 and the books with soft covers are sold for USD 9.73.
Dhivehi Publishing Group has revealed that the book will be available in shops within the next week. Additionally, the book will also be available in the shops of Business Centre Corporation (BCC), aiming to reach tourists.
