Minister of Sports, Fitness, and Recreation Abdulla Rafiu has announced that discussions are ongoing between the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) regarding the development of a roller skating rink in Hulhumale'.
During the handover ceremony for the land earmarked for a racing and drift arena in Hulhumale', Minister Rafiu disclosed that talks are progressing with the HDC to introduce facilities for various other sports in the area. He also emphasised the absence of a roller skating track and revealed ongoing discussions with Skate Maldives, the Sports Ministry, and the HDC to establish a skating rink in Hulhumale'.
Additionally, Minister Rafiu highlighted plans for the establishment of additional sporting facilities, indicating ongoing negotiations with the HDC for their fulfillment.
