Former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has stated he will not participate in any attempts to remove President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu from office.
He made the remarks in response to a statement made by a member of the People's National Front (PNF) supporting the activities efforts of the Maldives Democratic Party (MDP) in trying to remove President Muizzu.
Speaking at a recent press conference, Former President Yameen affirmed that although a PNF member voiced in favour of the removal of President Muizzu, it does not represent PNF as a whole. He further informed that efforts will be made, as previously slated, to withdraw Indian Military from the Maldives.
Furthermore, Yameen expressed his determination to persist in protesting against the loss of a portion of the Maldives's ocean and the substantial foreign influence in its internal affairs.
