Minister of Construction and Infrastructure Dr. Abdullah Muththalib has officially commenced the practical works of the land reclamation project of Kinbidhoo, Thaa Atoll.
The land reclamation project of Kinbidhoo has been entrusted to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) on August 21, 2023. The project worth USD 9.6 million is to be completed within a period of eight months. 25ha will be reclaimed on the eastern side of the island under the project.
The ceremony held to officiate the practical works were attended by the Principal Secretary to the President Ahmed Ali Habeeb, MTCC's Chief Project Management Officer Ahmed Latheef, Kinbidhoo Council's President Ali Hussain, several senior officials of government institutes and the residents of the island.
