Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been tasked with conducting the design and survey work for the development of Guraidhoo and Komandoo Airports.
The agreement for the Guraidhoo Airport project was signed by Minister of Construction and Infrastructure Dr. Abdulla Muththalib and Chief Project Management Officer at MTCC Ahmed Latheef during a ceremony held in Guraidhoo, Thaa Atoll. This agreement includes airport surveying, design, and environmental impact assessment (EIA).
Similarly, the agreement for the Komandoo Airport project was signed by Minister of State for Construction and Infrastructure Ibrahim Nazeem and Deputy Managing Director at MTCC, Hassan Mughnee, during a ceremony held in Komandoo, Shaviyani Atoll. The ceremony was officiated by Minister of State for Construction and Infrastructure Moosa Fathuhee Adam and attended by the President of Komandoo Island Council Mohamed Sinan, along with other government officials.
These projects are part of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's initiative to develop 15 new airports during his term.
