President engages with Kunahandhoo Council and WDC

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has convened with members of the Kunahandhoo Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) at the Fonadhoo Community Centre to discuss the island's key concerns and vital needs.

During the meeting, Council members highlighted obstacles hindering development on the island, particularly inadequate sanitation facilities and the necessity of constructing a football field. They also discussed plans to generate employment opportunities and revitalising stalled projects, along with enhancing Kunahandhoo School.

Key concerns such as swell surges during high tide and accessibility issues to hospital services were emphasised by the Council.

President Muizzu assured council members that he would address the issues raised during the meeting. He also provided updates on these issues through the attending Ministers, reaffirming his commitment to resolving them.
