Collaborative Parliament is a must to address housing issue: President

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has highlighted the importance of electing a Parliament that aligns with the government's agenda to address the housing crisis. He made the remarks during a political gathering organised by the ruling coalition, comprising the Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) and People's National Congress (PNC).

Speaking at the gathering, President Dr. Muizzu highlighted housing as a paramount concern affecting Male' City and other regions in the country. He also acknowledged the lingering housing issue, attributing it to insufficient efforts by preceding administrations.

Additionally, President Dr. Muizzu underscored ongoing initiatives aimed at tackling the housing issue and appealed for public cooperation in these endeavors. Stressing the significance of electing supportive members in the upcoming parliamentary election, he cautioned against potential obstacles posed by opposition representatives.

Furthermore, President Dr. Muizzu expressed confidence in the outcomes achievable through a Parliament aligned with his vision. He reaffirmed his commitment to resolving Male's housing issues within the next five years.
