The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has unveiled its plans for Eid al-Fitr congregational prayers across four designated areas in Male' City, subject to favorable weather conditions.
Eid al-Fitr prayers will be facilitated in the following locations:
- Maafannu Stadium, Male'
- Football Stadium, Villi Male'
- Synthetic Track, Hulhumale' Phase I
- Cricket Stadium, Hulhumale' Phase 2
Additionally, the ministry has confirmed that Eid al-Fitr congregational prayers will be scheduled across 22 mosques in Male' City. In case of adverse weather conditions, prayers can be conducted in all mosques where Friday prayers are regularly observed.
To ensure the well-being of worshippers, the prayer timing has been adjusted to 0700hrs from the previous 0730hrs. This decision was made in response to concerns about intense heat during the sermon and aims to minimize inconvenience for attendees.
Eid al-Fitr, celebrated after the month-long fasting of Ramadan, will fall on Wednesday, April 10th, according to the Calendar.
