Gov't announces official Ramadan working hours

The President's Office has announced the official government working hours during the month of Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal will be from 0900-1300hrs.

The President's Office stated official working hours for the month of Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal will be four hours. It also advised government offices to adhere to the official working hours when planning events and activities. In previous years, the official working hours were from 1000-1400hrs.

The working hours during Ramadan are set aside to allow as much time as possible for the affairs of daily life and for the convenience of the public to perform religious affairs. The first day of Ramadan will be on March 11, according to the calendar.
