Maldives to host largest-ever expo for local artists this year: Gov't

Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed has announced that the Maldives will host its largest-ever expo to showcase the talents of Maldivian artists this year. He made the announcement during his address at the launch ceremony of a specialised loan and leasing programme for women entrepreneurs by the SME Development Finance Corporation (SDFC).

During the ceremony, Minister Saeed emphasised that the expo will be unprecedented in scale for the Maldives. He also said that it will provide a platform for artists to display their diverse talents and skills.

The expo is being organised by the Business Centre Corporation (BCC) under the auspices of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. It aims to attract foreign investors and foster investment in local manufacturing businesses. Central to its mission is the identification and nurturing of local artistic talent.

Currently, the BCC is collaborating with the economic ministry to finalise details such as the event date and logistics.
