Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP) Farhad Fikry and Ismail Naveen have been appointed as Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCP).
Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan presented the certificates of appointment to both officers during a special ceremony. The event was attended by Minister Ihusaan, Commissioner of Police Ali Shujau, and senior police officials.
Farhad commenced his service with the Maldives Police Service (MPS) on March 30, 1991. With 32 years of experience, he has held various roles within the force, including leadership positions in operational and administrative departments. Until his promotion to DCP, he served as the acting Head of Operation Support Command and People’s Directorate.
Naveen, who assumed the role of DPC, began his tenure with the force on July 7, 1994. Over his 29-year career, he has demonstrated expertise across multiple areas within the MPS, also holding leadership roles in operational and administrative functions. Before becoming a DCP, he served as the Head of Corporate Services Directorate.
