Public Service Media (PSM) and Qibla Hajj and Umrah Group Private Limited have signed an agreement aimed at delivering media coverage of the Umrah pilgrimage. The agreement was signed by Managing Director of PSM Zeena Zahir and Managing Director of Qibla Hajj and Umrah Group Yameen Idrees.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Zeena expressed PSM's commitment to contributing to welfare of the state and the public in diverse ways. She outlined the collaborative efforts with Qibla Hajj and Umrah Group, emphasising their dedication to raising awareness about the Umrah pilgrimage.
Meanwhile, Yameen highlighted the group's status as one of the largest and most trusted Umrah travel agencies in the country and underscored the importance of the agreement with PSM. He conveyed that the collaboration aims to disseminate the best information related to Umrah through the PSM channel.
Additionally, Yameen disclosed that the agreement extends beyond coverage, with provisions for mutual promotion and the creation of Umrah-related programmes for the Maldivian audience. He articulated the primary objective of facilitating families in Male' City and nationwide to partake in and enjoy the Umrah pilgrimage.
The current trend indicates a rise in the number of pilgrims with a noticeable increase in the participation of young people and children in Umrah activities. The collaboration between PSM and Qibla Hajj and Umrah Group aims to cater to this growing interest and ensure comprehensive and informative coverage of the Umrah pilgrimage experience.
