The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has inaugurated a mosque construction project in Vandhoo, Thaa Atoll.
Minister of State for Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shujau Abdul Hakeem and Vandhoo Island Council President, Shiyaz Ibrahim, officially commenced the fieldwork during a ceremony held in Vandhoo.
The construction of the mosque has been awarded to LF Construction Private Limited, with the project valued at USD630,000. The mosque is designed to accommodate 300 worshippers and will be constructed to meet modern standards.
