Teams led by cabinet ministers and heads of state-owned companies have begun traveling to the atolls.
The teams began traveling to the atolls under the instruction of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. The purpose of the trips is to hear the concerns and expectations of citizens. They are scheduled to travel to all the atolls and some teams have already begun meeting with the residents of the islands.
President Muizzu has vowed that senior officials of his government will travel to various parts of the country as part of his administration's commitment to work closely with the people. As such, they will meet with citizens during series of trips as part of their responsibility of running the government.
