Gov't pays USD1.4 million owed to companies for mosque construction

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has stated that the government has paid the outstanding amount of USD1.4 million owed to companies for constructing mosques.

The ministry addressed concerns over delayed payments and clarified that a substantial amount had not been disbursed to companies engaged in mosque construction across various regions in the country. The amount totaling USD1.4 million were pending for payments to 20 different construction companies.

The ministry confirmed that the government is fulfilling its financial commitments to the companies.The disbursement of the payments is expected in the near future, with the goal of expediting the progress of mosque construction projects. The government has made the decision to boost the annual expenditure from the state budget, tripling the allocated funds for the renovation and maintenance of mosques as part of its commitment to the initiative.
