MPS inaugurates Nellaidhoo Police Post

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has inaugurated the Police Post in Nellaidhoo, Haa Dhaalu Atoll.

The Police Post was inaugurated at a special ceremony by Acting Commissioner of Police Farhad Fikry and President of Nellaidhoo Island Council Mohamed Aleef. Members of the council and local institutions joined the ceremony, along with residents of the island and senior police officers.

The MPS aims to provide their service more closely with the community of Nellaidhoo with the opening of the Police Post. It also provides the opportunity for residents to discuss and find solutions with the help of police officers in an accommodating setting.

The MPS is working to establish a police presence in all inhabited islands of the Maldives with the establishment of police stations, posts, and desks. The initiative aims to reduce crime and pave the way for safe and secure communities across the country.
