Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has met Secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China Wang Ning. The Vice President met him during his official visit to China to attend the ‘China-Indian Ocean Region Forum on Development Cooperation’.
The discussion centred on avenues of cooperation including tourism, agriculture, green energy, higher education, sports, economy and trade and high-level exchanges between both countries among other topics.
Before concluding the meeting, the Vice President reaffirmed hope to further cement the close bilateral ties between the two countries.
The Vice President also addressed the ‘China-Indian Ocean Region Forum on Development Cooperation' organised by the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA). He is accompanied at the trip by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed.
