Four candidates run for position of JP Deputy Leader

Jumhooree Party (JP) has announced that four candidates have submitted their candidacies for the position of Deputy Leader in the party.

The vacancy for the deputy leader role in JP, which typically has five deputy leaders, arose following the resignation of Iqbal Adam, who is a current minister in the President's Office.

JP has disclosed that the selection process for filling the vacant deputy leader position, along with other open positions, is scheduled for December 10. The election will be exclusive to JP council members and voting will take place until 1400hrs.

The current roster of deputy leaders in JP comprises of former Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Aishath Nahula, former Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Dr. Ameen Ibrahim, former Parliamentarian Ali Shah, and former Vice President of JP Ahmed Saud.
