Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has departed for China on an official visit to attend the China-Indian Ocean Region Forum on Development Cooperation.
The forum organised by the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), is scheduled to be held from December 7–8 in Kunming, Yunnan Province in China.
During his visit, Vice President Latheef will address the forum and hold meetings with Chinese officials. The Vice President is being accompanied by Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed. The Vice President will arrive back to the Maldives after attending the high-level event to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR75) to be held in Geneva from December 11–12.
