Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan has expressed concern that officers have been used to take action that violated their oath and undermined national security. He made the remark at the graduation ceremony for the 28th Basic Training Programme for prisons officers.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Ihusaan said that trained officers are an institution's greatest assets and that he will ensure that officers receive the best training possible. Addressing the prisons officers who completed their basic training, Minister Ihusaan urged them not to follow officers who violate their oath and undermine national security. He also said that the officers will have to fulfill their responsibilities in a resource-limited but important institution and advised them to keep their training and oath in mind at all times.
