Maldives and Saudi Arabia discuss strengthening development cooperation

The Maldives and Saudi Arabia have discussed strengthening development cooperation between the two countries. The discussion was held during a meeting between President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and Minister of Economy and Planning of Saudi Arabia Faisal bin Fadhil Alibrahim.

During the meeting, President Muizzu thanked Minister Alibrahim for participating in his inauguration ceremony as the special envoy of the King of Saudi Arabia. He conveyed his best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and his keenness to enhance the cooperation between the two nations.

Additionally, President Muizzu said that he values the two countries' brotherly relations and that this government is firmly dedicated to expanding the two countries' ties. President Muizzu and Saudi Arabia's Minister of Economy and Planning held extensive discussions regarding strengthening development cooperation such as trade, investment, and economic corporations. The President also said that the Maldives would continue to assist efforts to battle global terrorism and expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia's efforts to bring peace to the Middle East, particularly in Palestine.
