The Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has announced the names of the candidates vying for the Parliamentary Group (PG) leadership.
MDP will elect a candidate for the vacant PG leadership post on November 23 at the MDP office. Candidate 1 is Mohamed Rasheed Hussain, Candidate 2 is Abdul Ghani Abdul Hakeem, and Candidate 3 is Abdull Jabir.
The seat became vacant following the election of former MDP PG leader Mohamed Aslam as Speaker of Parliament. MDP has the majority in Parliament with 56 members.
