Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has sworn in as the 8th President of the Maldives.
President Muizzu and Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef took their oath of office at the swearing-in ceremony held at Republic Square. Following their oath-taking, President Muizzu and Vice President Latheef signed the Instrument of Oath. It was then followed by a 21-gun salute.
Those who attended the inauguration ceremony included former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, former President Mohamed Nasheed, and former President Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik. President of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe and representatives of other countries were also present at the ceremony.
