President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has decided to bestow the prestigious Foreign Service Medal upon two departing individuals with a commendable tenure in foreign service. The distinguished honourers will be formally recognised on November 13.
It marks the inaugural presentation of the honour, specially instituted to acknowledge those concluding their extensive service in the Foreign Service. The president will confer a medal, along with a plaque and certificate, to each deserving recipient. He is also scheduled to deliver a keynote address during the ceremony.
In the past five years, President Solih has bestowed honorary awards and encouragement accolades upon individuals who have demonstrated exemplary service across diverse fields.
