Adam Zalif to be appointed as Civil Court Judge

Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has decided to appoint Adam Zalif as a judge of the Civil Court.

JSC received 23 applications for the position of Civil Court judge. The advisory committee recommended Zalif after interviewing all the applicants.

Zalif holds a Bachelor of Sharia and a Master of Sharia from Villa College. He has over seven years of experience in the judiciary and has served as a lawyer and a Legal Assistant of the Fuvahmulah Magistrate Court. He is currently the Managing Partner of A&Z Associates LLP.

A seat at the Civil Court became vacant following the death of Chief Judge of the Civil Court Ahmed Nimal Junaid in September.
