Chief Magistrate of Kondey Magistrate Court Mohamed Ibrahim has been suspended.
The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) stated that Judge Ibrahim has been negligent in evaluating court cases and preparing the judgements and case reports. The JSC stated the investigation has also shown that Judge Ibrahim discusses cases outside of the courtroom.
The actions were in violation of the Judges' Act. As such, the JSC has suspended Judge Ibrahim for two weeks without pay.
