Vice President-elect vows to work closely with Parliament

Vice President-elect Hussain Mohamed Latheef has vowed to give his full support and cooperation to the Parliament.

Speaking at the People's Majlis Recreation Club (PEMA), Vice President-elect Latheef, who is a parliamentarian, said that he will soon be accepting a national responsibility and will extend his full support to the Parliament's initiatives. He also thanked his party members for supporting him during the election.

During the ceremony, PEMA presented a plaque to Vice President-elect Latheef for his assistance and cooperation with the social club during his two terms in Parliament. He is notable for being involved in many of the parliamentary activities held by PEMA during his two terms. He had played for the parliamentary team in the Classic Futsal Tournament and the Bandara Cup organised by Club Maldives.
