The President’s Office has re-opened the opportunity to apply for a membership vacancy at the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM).
The President's Office stated decision comes in light of insufficient applications received during the initial application period following the resignation of Dr. Ahmed Adhuham Abdulla. The President's Office initially announced the opportunity to apply for the vacancy from October 8-16. However, the deadline has been extended until October 26 to encourage more applicants.
Currently, HRCM consists of its President Mariyam Muna, and members Aminath Shifaath Abdul Razzaq, Samaau Ahmed Najeeb, and Moomina Waheed.
