The Maldives has distributed financial aid of USD100,000 to assist Palestinians affected by the recent surge in violence in Gaza.
The International Aid Campaign (IAC) responded to numerous requests from Palestinian families, allocating a total of USD100,000. The funds were distributed in cash amounts of USD500 to 200 families, including those that lost family members and those whose homes were demolished. The distribution took place in an area with operational markets and shops. IAC volunteers situated in Palestine facilitated the distribution of the funds.
IAC also conducted a special telethon with the Maldivian media in support of Palestinians impacted by the recent escalation of violence in Gaza. The telethon had received over USD843,000 in funds.
