The Maldives has strongly condemned the Israeli attack on Al Ahli Hospital in the Gaza Strip, which has claimed the lives of hundreds of innocent Palestinians.
In a statement, the Maldives noted that attacks on hospitals and civilian infrastructures, targeting civilians are unacceptable and are in explicit contravention of international humanitarian law. The Maldives also reiterated its call on the international community to use all possible measures to stop the inhumane attacks against innocent Palestinians and urged the international community to expedite the opening of humanitarian corridors to facilitate the delivery of medicines, food supplies, and basic needs to the Gaza Strip.
The Gaza health ministry said at least 500 were killed in an attack on Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, many of them women and children. A school run by the United Nations (UN) housing refugees was also struck.
