UN assures to implement 100-day pledges plan for new government

The United Nations (UN) has assured that it will provide full cooperation for the new government in the implementation of its first 100-day pledges plan and other pledges President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu made in his manifesto for the national development of Maldives. The remarks were made by UN Resident Coordinator for the Maldives Catherine Haswell during her meeting with President-elect Dr. Muizzu. Vice President-elect Hussain Mohamed Latheef was also present in the meeting.

During the meeting, Resident Coordinator Haswell praised the pledges made in the manifesto to empower women. She said the UN will provide full cooperation for the new government in the implementation of its first 100-day pledges plan and other pledges President-elect Dr. Muizzu made in his manifesto for the national development of Maldives. She also assured that he would provide full assistance and cooperation to the development of the Maldives in various fields.

In his remarks, Dr. Muizzu thanked the UN for its technical assistance in achieving the development goals of the Maldives, strengthening institutions and consolidating democracy. He also sought the assistance of the UN in achieving the national development goals of the country in various fields under his administration.
