China has reiterated its commitment to assisting the development of the Maldives. The remark was made by the Ambassador of China to the Maldives Wang Lixin while speaking at the ceremony held for the 74th Anniversary of the founding of China.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Lixin highlighted the longstanding close bilateral relationship between China and the Maldives. She said that China will continue to strengthen relations with the Maldives and assist in the development of the country.
Also at the ceremony, Minister of Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim Hassan expressed gratitude on behalf of the government for China's continued assistance in national development. Vice President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Vice President-elect Hussain Mohamed Latheef, and Chief Justice Ahmed Muthasim Adnan also attended the event.
