President-Elect urges citizens to uphold peace and stability

President-Elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has urged citizens to avoid encouraging any action that would undermine peace and stability in the country. He made the remark at a press conference after winning the presidential election.

During the press conference, President-Elect Muizzu said that his administration will promptly commence efforts to meet the aspirations of the people. He emphasised that his government would prioritise peace, honesty, and integrity, focusing on policies that enhance the well-being of citizens.

Additionally, President-Elect Muizzu said that the results of the election is an added encouragement for his administration's plans to build the future of the country. He thanked voters for supporting him and trusting in his vision and said that he would treat everyone equally and would provide services equitably.

Furthermore, President-Elect Muizzu implored citizens to grant him the opportunity to carry out the responsibility entrusted to him and assured that the transition of power would be concluded by November 17. In addition, he appealed to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to facilitate the transfer of former President Abdulla Yameen in the best interest of the country.
