Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, the Presidential Candidate of the People's National Congress (PNC), has committed to facilitating access to world-class cancer treatment facilities to the Maldives.
At a campaign event held in Sultan Park in Male' City, Dr. Muizzu outlined his vision to optimise the usage of Dharumavantha Hospital in Male'. He expressed his intent to introduce services currently unavailable in the Maldives, while also enhancing the quality of existing healthcare provisions.
Additionally, Muizzu expressed his plan to bring clinics from top-notch international hospitals and establish a comprehensive cancer treatment system within Dharumavantha Hospital. He envisioned the full-scale development and expansion of Dharumavantha Hospital into a network of healthcare facilities.
Furthermore, Muizzu highlighted efforts to enhance services in hospitals and health centres in the atolls. As such, he outlined plans for Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital in Haa Dhaalu Atoll and Hithadhoo Regional Hospital in Addu City to offer top-tier services for critical diseases.
