Aviation employees' salaries to be increased

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has made a significant announcement, declaring a salary boost for employees within the aviation sector. He made the remarks during his address at a campaign rally in Male'.

President Solih reiterated his commitment to fostering equitable remuneration across the spectrum of government positions. He underscored the paramount importance of the air transport sector and affirmed the government's unwavering resolve to enhance the earnings of all its dedicated workforce across various domains.

As such, the president disclosed plans to increase the salaries of a diverse range of aviation professionals, including pilots, engineers, cabin crews, and other integral staff members. He also reported that the process of reviewing and adjusting the compensation packages within the aviation sector has already been set in motion, assuring that these salary enhancements will be in effect in the near future.

Meanwhile, the president revealed his intent to extend a salary increment to all public servants commencing from the upcoming January. In recent years, his administration has implemented positive changes to the remuneration of both education and healthcare workers. Moreover, the parliament has proposed measures to establish a fixed minimum wage.

The president conveyed his commitment to ensuring that salary advancements are distributed uniformly, with no sector left unattended.
