Muizzu pledges to build student dormitory in Hulhudhuffaaru

Presidential candidate of the People's National Congress (PNC) Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has pledged to build a student dormitory in Hulhudhuffaaru, Raa Atoll.

At a campaign event in Hulhudhuffaaru, Muizzu said that he plans to develop the island under his policy on population and development consolidation. As such, he pledged to build a dormitory to accommodate students who arrive from different parts of the region.

Additionally, Muizzu said that he would empower local councils under his decentralisation policy to increase economic opportunities for citizens. He also said that he would transfer Gaaun'doodhoo to the jurisdiction of the Hulhudhuffaaru Island Council. He noted that Gaaun'doodhoo has economic benefits for residents of Hulhudhuffaaru but claimed that the island has been given to another party. He vowed to review the agreement and make sure it benefits the residents of Hulhudhuffaaru.

Furthermore, Muizzu promised to develop Hulhudhuffaaru in accordance with the wishes of the residents. He said he would develop sports facilities and resume stalled projects on the island.
