Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has urged citizens to exercise their right to vote with integrity.
Speaking to PSM News, President of ACC Adam Shamil highlighted the importance of exercising the right to vote with integrity in upholding democracy and shaping the future of the country. He urged voters to remain vigilant against any attempts to sway their decisions, emphasising the importance of actively resisting bribery.
ACC has also opened a special portal to report bribery cases for the presidential election. The commission stated that several cases have been submitted through the portal and are under investigation.
Any person can submit a case regarding any individual who is engaged in electoral bribery via the dedicated portal. ACC said the portal is structured to ensure the confidentiality of the individual's identity, while updates on the case will be communicated to the individual in an anonymous fashion. ACC also assured protection for whistleblowers and urged individuals to provide comprehensive information through the portal.
