Gov't transfers management of Ufulandhoo to Maduvvari Council

The Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure has officially transferred the management of Ufulandhoo in Raa Atoll to the jurisdiction of the Maduvvari Island Council.

The agreement was signed between Minister of State Akram Kamaludeen and President of the Maduvvari Island Council Ayatullah Naeem. The management of Ufulandhoo will be overseen by the Maduvvari Island Council for a duration of five years under the terms of the agreement.

The decision to entrust the management of Ufulandhoo to Maduvvari Island Council was made by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, and it comes with specific conditions in accordance with Article 5 of the Regulation on Uninhabited Islands of the Maldives for Fisheries, Agriculture, and Economic Purposes.
