Muizzu pledges to develop fish processing facility in Kandholhudhoo

Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, the presidential candidate of People's National Congress (PNC), has pledged to develop a fish processing facility in Kandholhudhoo, Raa Atoll.

At a campaign event in Dhuvaafaru, Muizzu highlighted how Kandholhudhoo can facilitate the economic development of Raa Atoll. He noted that Dhuvaafaru is engaged in grouper fishery and said that Kandholhudhoo can be used to develop the fisheries industry in the region. As such, he pledged to develop a cold storage facility on the island.

Additionally, Muizzu provided details of his development plan for Dhuvaafaru, which includes the development of roads in the newly reclaimed land, as well as the establishment of a water supply and sewerage system and the construction of row houses and flats in accordance with the wishes of the residents. He also pledged to provide assistance and resources to increase economic opportunities.

Furthermore, Muizzu vowed to provide additional school resources, develop a university campus and hall, and upgrade the existing health center to the level of a mini hospital. He said that he makes these pledges after considering the current economic situation and incorporating debt management strategies, adding that he has a comprehensive plan to reinvigorate the economy and foster the national development.
